Why are we selling?  In short, we tried to do a good deed and wound up getting the short end of the deal.  We tried to do a huge favor for someone we knew by purchasing this boat last year with the intention of them leasing it from us until they could afford to purchase on their own. Unfortunately, they seriously underestimated what it would take to run a business and long story short we are stuck with a boat that we have no intention of running.  The boat was brought up last fall from Louisiana to Virginia without any running issues. We've done numerous upgrades and improvements to bring it closer to Sub Chapter M requirements. It will not take much for someone in the Tug boat business to bring this particular boat in full compliance. We have close to $500,000 invested in this boat but realize to make it move fast, we have to take a considerable loss. This is a good boat and will be an asset to someone in the business. It's just not the business we are in nor plan to be. That's why no reasonable offer will be refused.
